Create in Quads Snowflakes!
Oh my! You are going to want to RUN to Taylored Expressions and get this stencil set before it sells out. TE is introducing a new Create in Quads stencil set – Create in Quads Snowflake. This stencil set is AMAZING and so so versatile. I can’t wait to use it again.
I have two sets of cards to share with you today using this stencil set – one with a Toffee base and one with a Sugar Cube base.
To start my Toffee set I stenciled the first layer with Toffee ink on Toffee cardstock. This gives a gorgeous tone-on-tone look. For the next layer, I used Blueberry ink. I LOVE how the Blueberry ink looks on the Toffee cardstock. To create the third layer, I used Sugar Cube ink. After this layer I very lightly heat set the ink so it wouldn’t stick to the 4th layer. For the 4th layer, I used Happy Medium – Gold Glitter paste. I LOVE Taylor’s glitter paste. It’s such an easy way to add glitter without getting glitter everywhere.
To make my cards I die cut the quad panels with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets after stenciling them. I added wrapped twine in different areas to compliment the layout of the snowflakes. In the centers of the big snowflakes I added Gold Drip Drops for even more sparkle. And to finish up I added sentiments stamped on Toffee in Blueberry ink from the Winter Blessings stamp set and coordinating dies.

The second set of cards I made use a Sugar Cube cardbase and all the purple inks (and a few blue) I could find!
For this set I did a lot of ink blending on each layer of the stencil. Layer 1 used Jelly Donut, Cookie Monster and Salt Water Taffy ink. Depending on the part of the stencil I tried to blend from purple to light blue. The second layer was stenciled using Plum Punch, Blueberry and Gumball ink, again focusing on blending from purple to light blue. On layer 3 I went back to Jelly Donut, Cookie Monster and Salt Water Taffy. The final layer (the dots) was Plum Punch and Gumball.
After inking all the panels I die cut them with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I added Snow Flurries Sequins to the centers of the snowflakes or as an accent on each panel.
The sentiments for this set were stamped on Cookie Monster or Plum Punch cardstock using Blueberry ink and die cut with Double Ended Flag Stacklets. and attached to the card with foam tape.
This stencil set is a MUST have for anyone who mass produces cards in sets and wants them to have some unique elements!
