Deconstructed Sketch 72
Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you’ve had a good week! Are you ready for Deconstructed Sketch 72? I’m back on the job this week and I hope you like what I have for you! Here’s the scoop on what you need to do:
1. Use the sketch to the left to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like.
2. Post it somewhere on the internet. Use keyword DS72 if you post to an online gallery like Splitcoaststampers.
3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post so I can stop by and see it.
4. Check back here next Thursday to see if you are one of this week’s favorites and grab a badge for your blog.
I took a few liberties with the placement of my focal image in the sketch. 😉 But that’s what a good sketch if for right?
For my card I used one of the new Taylored Expressions stamps that will be released later today! It’s called Poinsettia Bouquet and I watercolored it using Distress Markers on Choice Watercolor Paper. After painting I cut this out using a Spellbinders Circle Die. (I would recommend cutting your circle first and then stamping it and embossing it so you don’t crack the embossing with the die.) I embossed the background paper with the Houndstooth/Damask Impression Plate and added a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The layout is made using kraft cardstock and Authentique Festive paper. The sentiment comes with the Poinsettia Bouquet and is die cut using the new and super cute Very Merry Outlines die and matted using the Very Merry Scallops die. The bit of green ribbon is Artichoke Poly Twill ribbon.
Here is a sample from our amazing guest designer Cresta Woodruff!
Want your sketches a little early? Follow the Deconstructed Sketch on Facebook!! And if you are looking for some older sketches to dig through you can find them in the Deconstructed Sketchbook. Now it’s time to hop around and see what everyone else on the DT has been up to and leave them a little love.
I have one sad design team update, our dear friend Jessica Diedrich is stepping down from the team. 🙁 BUT she’s doing it for a great reason and I wish her much luck and success in her new adventure. Stop by and leave her a bit of love!
