Deconstructed Sketch No. 14

Oh my goodness where did this week? It seems like Monday was here just yesterday and now we are targeting in on Friday. By the time most of y’all read this I’m going to be sitting in a school meeting, most likely sorting out my calendar of lessons for the next week or two. I just can’t believe how fast summer flew by. I’m going to have a second grader this year (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??) and a Pre-K little man. Both are SUPER excited to get started next week. Are your kiddos heading to school soon?

Alright let’s get started on some sketches, eh? First up lets pick a winner from last week!

Last Week’s Winner

A big thank you to EVERY one who shared their fabulous creativity with us last week. You all always blow me away with your creations. If I didn’t get around to leave you a comment yet, I’m still working. We had a lot of late entries this week so I’m behind! EEEK!

Alrighty, our randomly selected winner is…

Margo S.

Congrats Margo! You have your choice of one rubber stamp or two digis from Tickled Pink’s Lil’ Lolita, Lil’ Lads or Lil’ Pinkette Ranges. Please email me at jenevey @ gmail dot com and I’ll get you talking to the right person to claim your prize.

This Week’s Sketch

Now lets take a peek at what I have for you this week…

The Deconstructed Sketch 14

My Sample

And here’s what I put together for this week.

Jen Shults DS14

This was one of those cards that just made itself. I LOVE that! I used some gorgeous My Mind’s Eye paper and colored Lil’ Pinkette Pippa from Tickled Pink with copics to match the paper. I’ve started a new system with my papers and coloring and so far I like it. I pick to sheets of paper from any paper pad and most of it’s 2 sided so that gives me 4 to work with and I color after I pick. It’s made it SOOO much easier to coordinate my images to the paper. Anyhow, after I colored her I cut her out with a Small Deckle Rectangle from Spellbinders and sponged inside the die with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I then sponged a little more ink on the designer papers and glued it all together. I added a bit of twine thread from American Crafts and popped the image up on foam tape. Last thing I did was add a bit of doodling here and there. I’m loving the way that looks. I always like stitching on cards but I can’t sew at all so this works for me!

Here’s a closer look at Pippa:
