Deconstructed Sketch No. 197
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic Thursday! It’s been very busy around here with the start of softball season, art show season and my husband has started taking a few graduate classes here and there. It’s all loads of fun but makes life a little hectic. I did manage to squeeze in time to make something for this week’s sketch with some newer stamps from Simon Says Stamp that I have been itching to ink up for quite a while!
Please forgive the quality of my photo, I keep leaving my DSLR in my classroom! My phone takes pretty good pictures but I can’t for the life of me get the angle right so they aren’t just a little wonky.
For this card I played with my Distress Inks again to make the background. I used Abandoned Coral and Vintage Photo Reinkers and a generous amount of water to make the background. I was a little nervous about blending those particular colors but I think it worked beautifully!
The stamps I used are from Simon Says Stamps Flowers on My Mind stamp set along with the coordinating dies.

Here’s the scoop on what you need to do:
1. Use the sketch up top to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like. Use the sketch to inspire your own creativity. Feel free to substitute shapes for what you have available and mount tags and circles to a card base if you’d prefer.
2. Post it somewhere on the internet (your personal blog, Splitcoaststampers, Flickr, Pinterest, etc). Use keyword DS197.
3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post. Done!
