Deconstructed Sketch No. 7: BLOG HOP!!!
Howdy all! I hope you’ve had a FANTASTIC week so far! I am off on vacation today, actually we are mostly likely up getting packed and ready to board our plane home by the time you read this. Because it’s vacation week for me we are having a VERY special Deconstructed Sketch Blog Hop! And you know what a blog hop means… that’s right PRIZES!! For this blog hop there will be TWO prizes, one for one very lucky commenter and one for one very lucky randomly drawn participant in the sketch challenge.
So what do you need to do? First, hop around to all the design team blogs and leave a comment. The list is below so you can hop in your own order. Very easy! Second, take a look at the sketch and make a project using the sketch as creative inspiration, post it online (blog or gallery) and link it back to the InLinkz at the bottom of this post. Again, very easy!! On June 27th, 2011 I will announce the winner of the comment prize on here on my blog. The winner of the sketch participation prize will be announced on June 30th along with the next sketch. Project need to be added to InLinkz below by 8 pm CST on June 29, 2011.
PRIZES!
Now what are the prizes? Well I dug around in my stash and found quite a few un-used, still in their original packaging goodies that are FABULOUS that I just haven’t had any time to use with my design team duties and work so that means I’m going to pass them on to you! I’ve also grabbed two BRAND new and GORGEOUS paper pads from my very favorite line of paper to share with the winners! So who gets what?
The comment winner will receive the Unity Stamp Co. April 2011 Kit of the Month: small things MATTER MOST, the November 2010 Kit of the Month: Picture Perfect and My Mind’s Eye’s Lime Twist Out of the Blue 6×6 paper pad. Not too shabby, eh?
The sketch participant winner will receive the Unity Stamp Co. February 2011 Kit of the Month: The Best Is Yet To Be, the March 2011 Kit of the Month: Just You and My Mind’s Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party 6×6 paper pad.
This Week’s Sketch
There is, as always, no particular image requirement. Just use the sketch to jump start your creativity!
My Sample
This week I stayed pretty faithful to the sketch… it worked GREAT for my image so there wasn’t much I wanted to maneuver.
I used an adorable image from All That Scraps Sugarplum Lil’ Bug Emma. I just adore this stamp… she’s so sweet. I colored her with Prismacolors and OMS and used Echo Parks Dots and Stripes designer paper to go with her. I cut the image out with a Nestablities rectangle die as well as the sentiment with a Nesties circle die. Everything is sponged with Distress Ink Wild Honey Ink and outlined by hand with a multiliner. I added a bit of baker twine to finish it up. Here’s a closer look at sweet little Emma:
Blog Hop Order
Be sure to get your chance to win one of the two prizes listed above by hopping around and checking out the work of the fantastic design team. Make sure to stop at every spot because the prize is hidden somewhere on the hop!
