Farm Fresh Digis and Favorite Techniques

FFF-digitech-Jen3

It’s Friday and that means it’s time for another Farm Fresh Friday at the Greeting Farm Blog. This week our challenge is to use a digi and to use a new or favorite technique.

I used Pinto Pony by Marina Neira for my card. I colored her with Copics on PTI white cardstock. I was determined to color her with more realistic horse color because the last time I colored her I used pastels and such. Before I colored her I cut her out using my Nestabilities Large Classic Circles die and then sponged it inside the die with Wild Honey Distress Ink using a Sponge Dauber.

For my favorite/new technique I used my VersaMarker and colored her ribbons and embossed them with clear embossing powder with a bit of clear fine glitter from Martha Stewart. The glitter is pretty subtle but the embossing powder is very shiny and the two together look nice. I love this technique because it doesn’t smear my digi lines like Stickles and even my Spica marker sometimes can.

For the rest of the card I used Garden Variety Designer Paper by Cosmo Cricket and a sentiment from the retired Hope and Grace 4″x6″ set that I cut out with an oval Nestie and sponged in the die and layered it on a Scalloped Circle Nestie. I added a bit of sheer ribbon and punched the sentiment and threaded a bit of ribbon through it to complete my card. I forgot to write down my Copics but I’ll go back and look a bit later if you are interested in what ones I used.
