FFF – Old School
It’s time for Back to School at the Farm and not just any school… but OLD SCHOOL! Marie and Jess have issued a challenge to get back to basics and use some of those old Anya and Ian stamps… the ones before there were so many friends on the farm.
For my card I used Mermaid Anya. She is one of my all time faves and SO versatile and a blast to color. I created a scene for her out of My Mind’s Eye Quite Contrary papers and a bit of London Fog Bazzill card stock. I cut the rocks out with my Large and Small Classic Circle Nestabilities and sponged the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to make them pop out a bit. Then I drew some sea weed on to some green swirl paper in the Quite Contrary collection, cut them out and sponged them with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Next I used a large rick rack die to cut the pink sand at the bottom and I sponged it with a bit of Barn Door Distress Ink. The background water is sponged with a mix of Peeled Paint and Broken China Distress Ink. I glued it all down, popped Anya up on some dimensionals and then add a few rhinestones to her hair and clear Dew Drops to the water for bubbles. I wanted to add a sentiment down in the sand but couldn’t find the one I was looking for. 🙁 I need to dig around for it.
