Flutterby Valentine Sketch
It’s Flutterby Wednesday again! And today we have a sketch for you from Sketches by Carly along with a fairy, angel or butterfly. For my card I used Cheeky Angel from The Greeting Farm’s Naughty or Nice Cheeky Cheery set.
To make my card I stamped the Angel onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Prismacolors and OMS. I then outlined her halo wings and ruffle with a Stardust glitter pen. Then I used the Out of the Box technique to partially cut her out with a Nestabilities Classic Oval. Then I used Rimna’s masking technique to sponge and stamp the background. I then cut a larger Nesties Scalloped Oval and mounted the image on that. I cut out the background panels using PTI Simple Valentine paper and sponged it with Barn Door Distress Ink and then embossed it with a Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder. Then I added two Prima pink roses with Diamond Stickles smeared on, a few punched hearts and Martha Stewart punched leaves (branch punch). The sentiment is made from some letter stamps I got from the Dollar Spot at Target a long long time ago. I stamped out the word love on cardstock, cut them out individually and inked the edges with Barn Door and then glued them down.
