Fluttering Thank You’s with a little Mojo Monday

thank you header

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s Flutterby Wednesday time! This week our theme is to create a Thank You card that uses a butterfly, angel or fairy. Pretty fitting for Thanksgiving week, eh? I combined this week’s challenge with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. 😀

For my card I used a couple of different Verve sets, Blue Skies and Dream Big. I stamped the large butterfly from Blue Skies onto rustic cream PTI cardstock and watercolored it with Faded Denim and Wild Honey Distress Ink.

After watercoloring the butterfly I cut it out and mounted it on a Nesties oval also stamped with the same butterfly. I inked the oval with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink inside the frame and outside.

For the background panels I used October Afternoon Thrift Shop designer papers that I inked around the edges with more Brushed Corduroy ink. I embossed the diagonal panel with a Sizzix swirl embossing folder.

To finish off the card I used some fine gauge twine and a button for the ribbon/bow portion of the Mojo sketch and added 3 copper brads to the bottom of the card.

The inside is decorated with coordinating papers and is stamped to say Thank You from the Dream Big Verve set and the smaller butterfly from the Blue Skies Verve set.

If you’d like to participate with us at Flutterby Wednesday this week all you need to do is create a Thank You card using a fairy, angel or butterfly and add your blog post or gallery submission to the Flutterby Wednesday Inlinkz.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team has created for today! I’ll be back at the end of the week with some fun new creations from The Greeting Farm! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
