Happy Birthday Taylored Expressions!
Hi everyone! This week we are celebrating Taylored Expressions 11th Birthday!! We have a bunch of birthday themed goodies to share with you this week ending on release day on Thursday (at 9 am CST.).
I have two projects to share with you today. The first project uses a new stamp and stencil combo that I LOVE. My card started with a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock that I stamped with the Gifted Background stamp and Oreo ink. I heat set the ink just a little to be doubley sure the ink wouldn’t smear when I used the Gifted Stencil (which lines up PERFECTLY with the Gifted Stamp) to stencil the rainbow over the presents. I then used C1 and C3 Copic markers to add a tiny bit of drop shadow under the presents.
Next I using TE’s Blender Brushes to ink blend a bit of Lollipop and Strawberry Milkshake ink on Sugar Cube cardstock and die cut with the Caps Lock – YAY dies. I layered two pieces of Sugar Cube cardstock with Oreo cardstock and popped them up on foam tape over the Gifted background with a bit of vellum toward the bottom. I then attached the Caps Lock YAY cut out over the vellum. Next is stamped and die cut the present from Big Grumpy – Birthday and added it to the side of the YAY! To finish up I added a sentiment from Simple Strips stamped on Poppy Seed cardstock and cut with the Simple Strips die.

This new adorable giant Grumpling, Big Grumpy Stamp & Die Combo, is ready for all of your snarky card giving needs! This adorable guy comes with 7 fun sentiments and has a birthday companion set Big Grumpy – Birthday that has the balloons and gift you see here along with some fun birthday snarky sentiments.
To start my card I stamped Big Grumpy on Sugar Cube with Oreo ink along with three balloons, the party hat and present from Big Grumpy – Birthday. I colored all of these with Copics and die cut with the coordinating dies. Next I used the TE Blender Brushes to ink up the cloud background with Salt Water Taffy and Sprinkles ink and the Set the Scene Cloud Stencil Strips.
For the grassy hill I die cut Build a Scene – Grassy Hills from Peapod and used the blender brushes to add a bit of Peapod ink for dimension. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the sign and arranged the scene, popping various things up on foam tape.
