Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful start to your week! It’s the start of Taylored Expressions‘ birthday celebration! TE is turning 14 this year and we are celebrating with a TON of new goodies to help you celebrate birthdays all year.
My first project I have to share with you is a shaker card using the A2 Infinity Shaker Panels from TE that make shaker cards SO EASY to make. I started my card by creating the background gel press strips cut using the Easy Strips 1/2″ die. The strips were leftovers from creating other gel press projects. I cut them into strips and assembled them into a rainbow background with TE’s A2 Sticky Sheets. After assembling the background I stamped Big Birthday Stamp on the panel with Versafine Clair in Nocturn and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The background did okay with the embossing – just make sure to preheat your heat gun so you don’t have to hold it in one place to long when heating the embossing powder or the acrylic paint will melt (been there done that – not fun and STINKY). Next, I die cut the Confetti Maker die from Sugar Cube and added a few Snow Flurries Sequins for the shaker filling and put together the shaker pocket. To finish I mounted the shaker pocket on an Oreo cardbase. Done!
Next up is a fun card using the new Get Thready background die. To get started I ink blended the background with Honey ink on Sugar Cube cardstock then die cut the Get Thready background. I swiped some of my daughter’s embroidery floss to sew in the background. Next I added the sentiment die but from Cooke Monster and the backer cut from Oreo. I added a few tiny diamonds to match the floss colors and mounted the panel on an Oreo cardbase using foam tape.
My third project features three new products, Let Them Eat Cake Layering Stencil and coordinating dies, Mix & Match Drip & Dots Cutting Plate, and Happy Anni-birth-ary sentiment set. This card was super fun to put together. I started by ink blending the edges of a piece of Lavender Glaze cardstock with Jelly Donut and Eggplant ink. Next, I made the cake with the Let Them Eat Cake layering stencil and Lavender Glaze, Jelly Donut, Confetti Cake, and Lemon Meringue ink. I die-cut the cake with the coordinating die. The cake is popped up on foam tape in the center. I added the sentiment in Oreo ink then added the border by cutting two of the Mix & Match Drips & Dots Cutting Plate, dots only from Cookie Monster cardstock. To finish up and added some accents I added confetti cut from Lavender Glaze and white gel pen accents.
My last set of projects is a group of birthday cards created with a new Triple Slim – Celebrate layering stencils. I started by stenciling the layering stencils on Sugar Cube cardstock with Lemon Meringue, Candy Corn, Sweet Potato, Fruit Punch, Lolipop, Lime Zest, Peapod, Cookie Monster, Confetti Cake, Lavender Glaze, Jelly Donut and Plum Punch inks. (You could get a similar look with fewer inks – I just wanted a light and dark of each ink.) After inking I cut the pieces apart and trimmed them down. I cut a coordinating mat for each using Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets. To finish up I added a few accents with white gel pen and Copic Markers in the background.
