Happy New Year!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I hope everyone has been having a wonderful holiday season! I’ve been on winter break for the last week or so and have so enjoyed relaxing and spending time with my family. This has been the first year in a long time that my husband has had the same break as I have for the holidays and it’s been wonderful. We’ve gotten lots of things done, spent a lot of time with family and friends and it’s just been perfect! I haven’t gotten a whole lot of crafting done but that is going to fixed tomorrow as I’m going to be getting together with a friend for a little crafty time. 🙂 Woohoo!!

Yesterday I managed to squeeze in some time to make a Happy New Year card. I used Taylored Expressions Happy New Year A La Carte stamp. I had so much fun playing with this card. I love making my own backgrounds though I really don’t do it all that often. For this one I used Circles Big Backgrounds stamped onto black cardstock with Versamark ink and then I heat embossed it with Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder. Now, I’m not usually a tinsel embossing powder fan because it’s so so messy but this looks so good on the black paper that I could be convinced to change my mind, lol.  I also dressed up the card a little bit using some Glossy Accents and Silver Rhinestones. 🙂
