Hello Summer
Summer is definitely here in my neck of the woods – yesterday was HOT. I’m not ready for high 90’s/100’s just yet. I hope you are staying cool where ever you are.
Today there are new goodies from Taylored Expressions all with a fun summer theme! My first card uses some new dies that I am so happy to see – Tropical Leaves! These are so well designed and so well sized to be perfect for a variety of different cards. When I was getting ready to create this card I noticed the Done For You Alcohol Ink Backgrounds on my desk and one of the patterns looked perfectly like water and it inspired my card. I trimmed a small bit off the top of the panel so that when I mounted it on the cardbase a little bit of Oreo cardstock could peek out. Next, I die-cut the leaves from a variety of greens from Taylor’s collection and did a tiny bit of ink blending for dimension. The sentiment on this card is also from a new stamp set from Taylor – Hello Sunshine.

My second project features products I know you’ll be excited to see – a new Triple Slim stencil and a slim line die that coordinates or can be used alone!
I am super excited about the new Trip Slim Boho + Clear Add-ons stencil set. I LOVE this modern design look and how easy it was to make a fun set of three cards that have a lot of visual WOW!
I started by inking up the stencil with Fruit Punch, Cookie Monster, Poblano Pepper, and Pineapple ink. I LOVE how this color combo turned out (though my camera did not like it, lol). It was so bold that I knew it would be a good pairing with Oreo cardstock so I used a Mini Slim Top Fold card in Oreo (I LOVE these – so handy!).
Next, I die-cut three circles using Stitched Circle Stacklets from Pineapple, Fruit Punch, and Cookie Monster cardstock to mount behind the sentiments. To make the sentiments I stamped three of the sentiments from Boho Hellos on Oreo cardstock using Versamark ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. I layered one cut from the Easy Stips 1/4″ dies (in Poblano Pepper) in between the circle and the sentiment.
For the last card, I die cut the Mini Slim Half Dot Cutting Plate from Oreo and it just so happens this die matches up PERFECTLY with one of the panels from the stencil. I LOVE how much pop the Oreo cardstock gives the colors.

That’s it for me today! I hope you have a wonderful week and stay cool wherever you are!
