Land That I Love

Hi everyone! It’s release day at Taylored Expressions and today we have a lot of fun patriotic goodies for you. I have two fairly quick cards to share with you.

First up is a card using a new product paired with some older TE products. I used the new Statue of Liberty stand-alone die to be the star of this card. I cut the die out of Confetti Cake cardstock and added details with Copic markers to fill in the statue (I just pulled up a reference photo and mimiced it as best I could.) From there I foiled one of the Foil It Fireworks background with silver Deco Foil and inked to look like a night sky. I added a small panel of water at the bottom using Blueberry cardstock and a gel pen and Copic details. I then layered the Downtown Border and Downtown Border Underlay behind the water to make the city behind the Statue of Liberty. To make the base of the statue I attached a little piece of Oreo cardstock and trimmed diagonally and popped the statue up on foam tape under the border. To finish up I added the sentiment stamped in Jelly Donut and die cut with the coordinating die.

My second card was very quick and would be easy to mass produce. I started by ink blending a piece of Sugar Cube with Cookie Monster ink in a gradient up from the bottom. I layered with the Mix & Match – Stars & Stripes Cutting Plate cut from Watermelon and Blueberry cardstock with liquid adhesive. To finish up I cut Starstruck from silver glitter cardstock and arranged the glittery stars over the star area of the cutting plate. The sentiment is from It’s Your Day stamped on Oreo cardstock and embossed with Puffy White embossing powder. The whole panel was attached to an A2 cardbase and it was done!
