Happy weekend! It’s about time to start thinking about heading back to work tomorrow but I managed to sneak in one card today. I used the January Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions. You still have a few days to get yours!
Instead of going crazy with patterned paper I decided to play around with some stencils. This was so much fun! I masked off a section of the white cardstock with a heart that was die cut using Heart Stacklets. In the middle of that I put a heart that was the next size down. The pink heart was stamped from the January Stamp of the Month. I added the sentiment down in the corner and three teeny tiny rhinestones from Taylor’s Tiny Twinkles. So simple and so fun to make!
Thanks for stopping by!

Very sweet!
I agree this pink card is sweet 🙂
Great technique, very cute card!
Could you do a video of how you did this technique? I love it but can’t figure it out
Hi Jessica! I don’t have a video but let me see if I can’t explain better. First cut your large white panel. Then using a scrap of cardstock or copy paper die cut the larger heart. Using washi tape on the back tape this down to the larger white panel in the center or where ever you want it. Lay the stencil over this. Using a sponge dauber lightly sponge around the heart through the stencil, holding the stencil steady so it doesn’t slip. Be sure to use vertical daubing motions not side to side or the stencil will slip. When you are happy with your inking take the stencil off carefully. Then carefully remove the heart mask. You should be left with the negative of a heart. Finish assembling the rest of the card from there. 🙂
Thank you very much and I can’t wait to learn to try the technique myself!
