Lucky Leprechauns

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a new Taylored Expressions release and this week we are all about the luck of the Irish! We have so many new St. Patrick’s day themed goodies that are a must-have!

My first project features the adorable gnomes from last month, Gnome Sweet Gnome, and the new add-ons Lucky Leprechauns. I started by die cutting all of the pieces for the leprechauns from TE cardstock. I dug out my stash of foil and glitter TE cardstock to accent all of the amazing greens in the TE collection. After die cutting everything I ink blended the edges of the clothing with coordinating colors of ink and I used OLO markers to added definition to the hands, noses and hair of all the Leprechauns.

These were so fun to make and really relaxing to put together – no pressure, just have fun making little leprechauns!

My second project is a card using a new gorgeous stamp – Irish Blessing. This stamp would make a great framed project also! I used the card to make a stamp and kept my layout simple. I started by making the background using Granny Smith cardstock ink blended with Peapod, Cilantro and Sweet Basil ink then splattered with rubbing alcohol and watered-down Sugar Cube reinker. I added a few sparkles from the Rainbow’s End die set, cut from gold foil cardstock. I also added a few stars from Bits & Pieces – Lucky Stars and Sparkles. I stamped the sentiment on Sugar Cube with Versafine Clair Nocturne and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The little shamrocks are from the Rainbow’s End die set cut from Sweet Basil cardstock.
