Mystery Monday

Hey everyone!! It’s Monday and that means it’s Mystery Monday time over at Club Anya & Friend’s and guess who got to pick this week’s card to CASE? ME!!!! I’m so excited about this one because I found a card that just blew me away and I couldn’t WAIT to CASE it. This week I chose a card by the FABULOUS Kim Dellow:

And here’s my take on it:

I started out using Creeper Friday and stamped her on some 140 lb Strathmore coldpress watercolor paper using Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored her with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils and water. I LOVE these pencils. I’m so happy with the colors and the mixability of these. I can’t wait to paint some more! I just LOVED it.

After I got her all colored up I mounted her on some heavily distressed 7 Gypsies designer paper. I used Tim Holt’s Alterations Flower die to create the flower in the corner. I layered the flower on a cream colored Recollections paper flower (really by Prima) that was inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and touched with a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Stickles. I punched a Martha Stewart Butterfly and some MS branches and added a one of the tiny flowers from the TH die as well as a safety pin as a final accent.
