Never Too Old

D2GD2013-Jen1

It’s Dare to Get Dirty time over at Splitcoaststampers and today I’m sharing one of the project I made using Understandblue’s (aka Lydia’s) challenge! You can find out all about Dare to Get Dirty here!

For my project I used Verve’s Words of Wisdom stamp set for the focal image along with the Jotted Heart Die, Arrow Die and Flag It Die set. The heart is painted with Distress Markers and a waterbrush using Spun Sugar. The hexagon background was made using Taylored Expressions Hexagon Big Background stamped with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper. I used the red family of Distress Markers to color in the different hexagons and then spritzed them with a water mister to bleed and blend the colors.
