It’s Saturday and that means it Oh, Alice! time! Chapter 5 this week is WHOOOOO RRRRRRR YOUUUUUU?
“Who are YOU?” said the Caterpillar.
This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, “I–I hardly know, sir, just at present– at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.”
This week we are celebrating SPRING here in Wonderland! And guess what! I’m sponsoring the challenge and I’m sooooo excited!! This week we are using the Wild Flower Kids “All a Flutter” digi set which are available at the the Wild Flower Patch Store.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to create a card using a CATERPILLAR or BUTTERFLY on your projects this week! You have until Friday, March 26th to submit your entries by 8pm CST to the Oh, Alice blog. The Winner will be announced on Saturday 3/26 during our next challenge and the WINNER will receive the “All a Flutter” digital images from ME! This week’s keyword is OAC5.
Now onto my creation this week. I used
Crisanta from the All a Flutter set and colored her with Copics and then went a little nuts with the Stickles and Spica pen on her wings and clothes.
I used this weeks
MTSC65 for my layout and my Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety paper for the rest. I lightly sponged the edges of everything with Antique Line TH Distress Ink and I used Memento Lady Bug red to sponge the inside of the Nesties circle cut out.
For the little butterfly garden at the bottom of the card I used a whole slew of Martha Stewart punches… ya’ll know I love her punches. So here they are… the green plaid CC paper is punched with the MS grass punch, the flowers are a 3 in 1 MS hydrangea punch and the butterflies are from a 3 in 1 MS basic butterfly punch. I attached two of the larger flowers together with brads and added some Spica glitter to the plain red flowers. Crisanta floats above it all on her pop dots. 😀
I have to say this is one of those cards that took on a life of it’s own. I had the basics of it done on the first night but I was not feeling so hot and set it aside of finish and the next day when I started playing with the flowers I went a little nuts and the inside matches with a whole little garden there too.
And here’s a little close up of Crisanta:
That’s about it! If you participate just upload your card and link to Mr. Linky at the
Oh, Alice! blog, and we’ll stop by to see your amazing creations! HAPPY SPRING, everyone!
