Saturday Sketch 38!!

Hey all I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I know it’s another busy one for us. We’re heading out to the lake for some family fun. 😀 I’m going to keep this short and sweet so I can get to bed and be up bright and early to get us all ready to go. 😀

Our sketch this week is the first on designed by me!! Yay!! I hope you all like these sketches, I’m a bit nervous about doing this. 😀 Here’s the sketch:

For this card I used some Basic Grey paper from the Boxer line that I have had in my stash for a while. I’d actually colored Oh, Boy Ian up before I picked my paper… a dangerous decision for me usually but this time it worked out. 😀 I colored Ian with Copics (and I actually did a little video of how I colored him, I’m hoping to share that tomorrow or Tuesday). Then I mounted him on a few layers of cardstock and used an EK binder punch for the edge. The background is embossed with a 5×7 Cuttlebug Polka Dots folder and sponged a bit with Brushed Corderoy Distress Ink. The tag is made from a Classic Circles Small Nestie and a Lables Three Nestie. I sponged the inside of the circle with Barn Door Distress Ink and I sponged a bit around Ian with Faded Denim DI. I added a bit of hemp cord and two Making Memories brads and it was all done. 😀
