Saturday Sketch 52 – Be Mine

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday. We are all hanging out at home today and playing in the snow. It’s been quite the snowy winter here so far and it’s not over yet. 😀 I’m looking forward to spending some time coloring and making a few more Valentine’s cards before the end of the weekend.

Today I’ve got a card for today’s Saturday Sketch challenge over at Club Anya and Friends. This one is a bit different for me. It’s a little bit CAS and a little bit vintage. I hope you like it. 😀 Here’s today’s sketch:

For my card I used Flirty Anya and colored her with Prismacolors. I’m working on a hair coloring chart that a couple of folks have asked me about. 😀 I hope to have it ready soon! The designer papers are K & Company’s Valentine stack. I really really love how Distress Inks can really transform paper. This isn’t paper I normally pick up but I love the way it looks with a bit of ink around the edges. I used a Martha Stewart Classic Scallop edge punch for the scallops. I added a bit of twine, two small Prima flowers and three punched MS fronds. I punched those out of white and then inked them with Crushed Olive and Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. I LOVE the way that looks. 😀 The sentiment is from Verve.

Here are a few detail shots:
