Seize the Cupcake

I just wanted to pop in today and share a card I made for my brother’s birthday this last week. I used the Viva la Verve Week 2 sketch for January, it’s a fantastic sketch, one I’m going to file away to use again later.

For my card I used My Mind’s Eye’s Lifestories kraft stock stack, PTI kraft stodk and Bazzill brown cardstock along with Verve’s Carpe Cupcake and Love Notes stamps. I stamped the Love Notes background stamp onto white cardstock and I used both Rich Cocoa and Dessert Sands ink on the stamp. Then I stamped the Seize the Cupcake sentiment onto the frame and used Verve’s matching die to cut it out. I edged all the cardstock with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and added a bit of twine.

On the inside I stamped the cupcake from the Carpe Cupcake set along with a Happy Birthday sentiment.
