Taylored Expressions – Cat Lovers!
Taylored Expressions is releasing a couple of new products releasing tomorrow designed especially for cat lovers and I have two cards to share with you today showing off their awesomeness!
Max and Millie
First up is Max and Millie. This fun new set features an adorable cat and mouse. I used the grumpy cat from the set along with the Meh sentiment to create a clean and simple card.
To start I created a side folding A2 card base from Sugar Cube cardstock. I then trimmed a piece of Sugar Cube to fit on top, slightly smaller. I used the 3/4″ Striped Stencil and masked off a portion of the top and bottom with tape. I ink blended Pineapple and Candy Corn in over the stencil. I ink blended Cookie Monster on another piece of Sugar Cube and die cut a circle using Stitched Circle Stacklets. I stamped the cat on Sugar Cube and colored with Copics and die cut with the coordinating die. To finish up I added some black baker’s twine and adhered everything with foam tape.
Whiskers, Simple Strips – Meow and Silhouettes – Cats
My second card is a fun little birthday card using Whiskers, Simple Strips – Meow and Silhouettes. These work together to make a cat birthday card with just the right cat attitude!
For this card I decided to go with a slimline card format. I started with a Sugar Cube cardbase and then cut a smaller piece of Sugar Cube that I ink blended with Confetti Cake, Salt Water Taffy and Sea Salt ink. I then cut stamped and cut the sentiments from Simple Strips – Meow from Earl Grey cardstock. I stamped the Whisker’s paw prints on the inked panel and heat embossed with white. The cat were cut from Oreo, I flipped one of the cats to the reverse orientation (to get rid of the texture I ran this cut through my die cut machine with no dies, sandwiched between two scrap pieces of cardstock to flatten it out).
For a little fun I added hats to the cats using Little Bits – Birthday Confetti (the hats fit the cats perfectly!). I finished up with a thin strip of black and white striped paper at the bottom. The perfect card for any cat lover and easily mailed with the slim line size!
