Taylored Expressions August Release Day!!!

Taylored Expressions August ReleaseIt’s Release Day for the Taylored Expressions August Release!! Did you like everything you saw yesterday? Weren’t the sets so fun? Today I’m using two different sets that I know you are going to LOVE!

My first card uses this week’s Deconstructed Sketch and Mark Your Spot. I LOVE this set. It’s so adorable and perfect for the reader in me who is frequently found staying up until the wee hours of the morning reading. And it’s something that Evey seems to have picked up too!

For my card I started with October Afternoon’s 9 to 5 paper and a bit of cork paper to create the layout. I cut all my pieces and distressed them with the Prima Distress Tool. Then I used the Mark Your Spot stamps combinded with the super cute Notepaper A La Carte stamp and the Notepaper/Clipboard Taylored Die. I inked the stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black and then wiped off a few words and reinked them with Distress Markers. I added a bit of twine and stamped the word read on a Tiny Tag Die to add to the sentiment. I popped lots of things up on foam tape so it’s has  quite a bit of dimension.

I also made a little simple book mark to go with it. I wanted to keep it CAS because I am a bookmark user BUT my books have to close all the way so I like them to be flat. 🙂 I used a bit more coordinating paper, a jumbo eyelet and the Mark Your Spot Bookmark Die. The ribbon is some spare Key Ingredients Ribbon that I had sitting around. 🙂

For my second project I used the Little School House stamp set illustrated by Doug Applegate with a concept by Jami Sibley. This set is so so so cute. I love it! I kept my card pretty CAS and created a little scene with die cuts. I colored the house with Copics after stamping it on Snow White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I used the thin strip of October Afternoon 9 to 5 paper at the bottom and created a scene using the Fence Border Die, Cloud Duo Die, and grass border die. To finish it off I popped everything up on foam tape and added a little ribbon and button tag to the side. I love how cute it all turned out together!

It’s release day so all of these goodies are available in the store! Hop over there and get them! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Baker’s Dozen has in store for you today. I KNOW their projects are amazing!
