Hi everyone! It’s time for day 3 of Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks. All of the products shared this week will be available for purchase on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 7 am PST. Today I have two project to share with you. The first one uses a new cutting plate die that I really love, the Mandala Cutting Plate. This is such a wonderful cutting plate because it can be used in so many different ways. You can keep it simple like I have and use is as an overlay for a cardstock background or you could die cut from multiple colors and keep the inlay pieces to fill back ink.
To make this card I started by cutting a piece of 4″ x 5.25″ Sugar Cube cardstock and sponging it with Candy Corn, Lollipop, Plum Punch, Cookie Monster, Granny Smith and Lemon Meringue TE Ink. Next I die cut the Mandala Cutting plate from Sugar Cube cardstock and overlayed it onto the sponged background adhering with Multi-Medium Matte adhesive. I attached this to an Oreo cardbase with foam tape. I stamped With Love and Hugs from the In & Out Get Well stamp set in Versamark on Oreo cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I attached this with foam tape and added a few Snow Flurries sequins.
My next card you may have viewed on Monday – I mixed up my posting schedule – EEK! This card uses the new Big Blooms – Rose stamp and is so gorgeous. I started this card by stamping the rose on Watercolor Cardstock with Versamark using my MISTI and heat embossed it in white. I masked the flower to add the leaves. I colored the flower with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and waterbrush. I added a sentiment from Friendly Phrases and a twine bow.
To finish up I added a few clear drops using Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew to give a water drop effect.
