Taylored Expressions | Graduating Gnomes!
Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a great week so far!! This week we have a graduation themed release at Taylored Expressions and it’s all so cute! Both of my projects today use the new add on for the Gnome Sweet Gnome die set, Gnome It All Dress up Dies.
This spring both of my nieces are graduating, one from high school and one from college so these project are inspired by them. I made a card using just one of the gnome from the cut out and dressed her up like my youngest niece (her school colors are black and gold). For the background I inked and stenciled the ground and sky then stamped Hats Off – Grade Background over the scene in Versamark and heat embossed in clear embossing powder. To make sure the ink was set I lightly heat set the ink and used the powder tool pretty liberally to make sure I didn’t get embossing powder everywhere.
My inspriation for the layout of this card was a framed graduation photo – I though the gnome was perfect for that! I added a little sentiment from Class of 2023 Stamp Set and a frame to finish it all off. The inside features a sentiment from The Insiders – Grad. I LOVE these – it makes finishing the inside of your card so easy!

For my second project I used the full set of gnomes to make a larger full slim line sized card. I used most of the same ingredients as the card above for the Gnomes and added Cap It Off Numbers to the banner in the center. To turn this into a card I die cut the gnome base out of a sheet of folded Sugar Cube cardstock, overlapping the top of the die with the fold just a bit so it opens. You could also mount these to the front of a slim line sized cardbase. Really the sky is the limit with these gnomes, just experiement and see what you can make!
