Taylored Expressions January Spotlights: Graphic Greetings Valentine

It’s the final spotlight day of the January Taylored Expressions release. 🙁 I’m a little sad. This month’s release has been so amazing, I’m a little bummed to have the fun end! BUT never fear, I’ll be using these stamps A LOT in the near future. 🙂

I am spotlighting the newest addition to the Graphic Greetings a la carte line: Graphic Greetings Valentine. I LOVE THIS STAMP. It’s part of the TE line designed by Taylor and she’s ROCKING these Graphic Greetings stamps! 🙂

I’m finished this month’s release back where I started, with a Chalkboard Technique card. To do this technique I cut a piece of black cardstock bigger than my stamp. I used ColorBox Frost White ink and a tiny sponge dauber to very gently ink the black paper randomly with white. I blotted A LOT on a scrap piece of paper before applying the ink to the cardstock. Once I had the chalkdust right I used the ColorBox Frost White to stamp the Graphic Greetings Valentine on the   ‘chalkboard’. Be sure to heat set your ink after this step as the ink is a slow drying ink. Once the ink was dry I used a Ranger Picket Fence Distress Marker to go back over some areas of the stamp to make the white more opaque.

The designer paper, cardstock (except the black) and the ribbon I used are all from this month’s Project Pantry kit. The black cardstock I used is Raven Bazzil cardstock. I also used a button from my stash and a bit of burlap twine thread. The hearts were die cut using the Cupid’s Arrow Die set (I TOLD you I LOVE this die set, lol).
