I have two project to share with you today. The first one uses the gorgeous new Hydrangea Bouquet, a petite set of 6 stamps that coordinates with the Mini Tags Taylored Die set. This set is designed by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes stamp line.

I started my card by stamping the bouquet on Choice Watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I colored this image with Distress Markers and a waterbrush. I then cut the image out, distressed the edges and matted it on kraft cardstock. The background papers are from My Mind’s Eye On the Bright Side Two. I cut out two strips using the Medium Scalloped Border Taylored Die and embossed the kraft on with the Lots of Dots Impression Plate. To finish off the card I tied a bit of twine thread around the middle of the card and tied it off with the sentiment stamped on a Mini Tag Taylored Die cut.

The layout is an oldie from the Deconstructed Sketch, DS1.

My second card focuses on a couple of new dies being released this month. I used the new Tall and Skinny Alpha Taylored Die and Petal Pop Ups 1 Taylored Die. To start this project I used the Matchbook Post-It Note Holder tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

To start I die cut the letters to make the word NOTES for the cover and then die cut a coordinating flower and layered it with a button and twine. I glued the letters to a strip of coordinating designer paper and distressed the edges and wrapped it with twine. I used kraft cardstock and a bit more designer paper to decorate the rest of the matchbook.
