Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Falling For You and Chalkboard Elements 2

It’s day three of Taylored Expressions sneak peek and today I have two more sets to share with you, Chalkboard Elements 2 and a new old set called Falling For You. Falling For You was a previously released exclusive set that is now available for purchase! I just ADORE that stamp set but first up lets talk about Chalkboard Elements 2.

As the title indicates this is the second installment of the gorgeous and so versatile Chalkboard Elements stamps. These two sets are completely compatible and together make for a fabulous set of stamps for chalkboardesque stamping.

For my project I decided to pair up the stamp set with Tag Stacklets 1 and Label Stacklets 7 to make some super quick and simple wedding tags. I started with a Choice Kraft tag base and layered it with another tag die cut from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss. The chalkboard panel is die cut using the new Label Stacklets 7 (seriously those dies are a must have, I can’t stop using them). I stamped the sentiments in Frost White Colorbox Ink and then heat embossed them with Ranger Detail White Embossing Powder. The little red banners are die cut using Banner Stacklets 1. I added a tiny little bow using Twine Thread and distressed the edges of everything and I was set. I’ll add string to the tags when I attach them to gifts.

*Jen’s Stamp Aligning Tip – To make it easier to align your stamps use the grid lines on your stamping block to help you center the stamps on the block from left to right then line up bottom edge of the sentiment (not the outside cut line of the rubber) with a horizontal grid line. Use these two alignment tools to help you space and center your stamp with what you have already stamped. It makes aligning images with rubber much easier.

Falling For You:

Falling For You by Jen Shults, Stamps by Taylored ExpressionsMy second card features the previously exclusive stamp set Falling For You. I just love how rustic and fun this stamp set is. It coordinated with the Falling For You die set.

For my card I started with an A2 Choice Kraft cardstock base embossed with the 5×7″ Cuttlebug Woodgrain embossing folder. I layered that with a bit of paper from Doodlebugs Happy Harvest paper pad. The yellow orange banner is cut with Banner Stacklets 1. I stamped the wheel barrow was stamped on kraft with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copics. The leaves were stamped on orange and yellow orange again using Memento Rich Cocoa and die cut with the Falling For You dies as was the wheel barrow. To finish off I wrapped a bit of twine around the banner and added a Mini Tag stamped with Falling For You.
