Taylored Expressions Patriotic Release
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well and staying safe where ever you are. This week we are sharing new patriotic products from Taylored Expressions that will be available tomorrow!
The first card I’m sharing uses new and older products from TE. The background of my card was made with Pennant Parade background which is a gorgeous stamp set that can be used in many other ways than just patriotic. This is a red rubber and clear stamp combo. The pennant fill stamps are clear to make it easy to quickly fill in the pennant background.
The God Bless the USA stamp is from Hand-lettered Fourth of July which was released last year. This stamp has a new coordinating die set that cuts out the sentiments for a different style of usage. I stamped the sentiment on Oreo cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I kept the card fairly simple and just added a Cookie Monster frame and a few Bits and Pieces stars.
My second card uses a new Masking Stencil set that I know I will get a lot of use out of. This set can be used horizontally or vertically and comes with masks for the stars so you can ink the stencil using different color, like I did.
After inking the background I splattered Sugar Cube ink on the Toffee cardstock and then distressed the edges (a style I miss, I may have to keep it up!). I added sentiments from Mini Strips Patriotic and a twine bow on the side.
This last card might be my favorite of the set. I used the new Starry Background which is a coordinating die and stencil, to create the stars. I did not use the stencil for this card. Instead I blended Cherry Pop and Blueberry ink on a piece of Sugar Cube, stamped the Starry Background in Versamark and heat embossed with white. Then I did cut with the Starry Cutting Plate. I stamped the Starry Background again on Toffee cardstock with Sugar Cube ink and placed the stars in their spots with foam dots. Can you spot the star that didn’t quite get placed correctly, LOL?
