Taylored Expressions Previews Day 2 – Love Shack!
I have two posts today so please scroll down for my Tiddly Inks Challenge post. 🙂
Today I am using a SUPER CUTE new Petite stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Love Shack. This is the first of a new line of stamps concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line that will feature cute little houses! First up is this adorable house full of hearts that is PERFECT for Valentine’s Day! This set includes 9 images/sentiments and like all Taylored Expressions stamps they are made of high quality red rubber, pretrimmed and mounted on EZ Mount cling foam so they are ready to use as soon as you get them.
To start my card I stamped the house onto Choice Buttercream cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Copic Markers, cut it out and added Stardust Stickles to the windows. I’m working on using more white space in my designs (it’s my goal for the year… we’ll see how it goes, lol) so I kept the background neutral and embossed the Buttercream panel with Taylor’s Lots of Dots Impressions Plate and matted it on cardstock from this month’s Valentine Project Pantry Basic Kit. I then created my layout using paper from American Crafts With Love collection, also included in the Valentine Project Pantry Basic Kit. I cut a super cute border using the brand new Jumbo Heart Border die (which I LOVE!!) and trimmed it so it was a bit shorter than the width of the page. I saved the little hearts that popped out of the middle to use to represent the hearts that are coming out of the chimney of the stamp. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set on more Buttercream CS and then cut it out using a Spellbinders Pennant die. The hearts on the sentiment are die cut using the new Hearts A Plenty Taylored Die. To finish it all off I added three cute little heart shaped buttons that are available as part of the Valentine Project Pantry Spice It Up Kit.

I also have another fun little thing for you today that you can go grab right now over at the Taylored Expressions Store for FREE! It’s a Moka Hair Color Chart that Nancy McKinnley designed for Taylor and she asked me to color up for you all as a handy Copic guideline tool. There are two versions… one that pre-colored and a blank one if you’d like to make your own! Hop on over there and check it out! I hope it will be a handy resource for you!!
