Taylored Expressions | Second Chance Sale!

First up is a product I have been dying to get my hands on – Spring Chickens Stencil & Clear combo along with some new amazing goodies to go with! When I started these I knew I wanted to try to get two cards out of one use of the stencil. So to do that I planned ahead and went with two cards of the exact same layout with different sentiments.
First I worked through the stencil with Toffee, Banana Cream Pie and Watermelon ink. Then I went through with the coordinating stamps to add legs, beaks and chicken feed with Mocha ink. To echo those colors in the rest of the card I stamped the Chicken Wire Background Stamp on Toffee cardstock with mocha ink, a little strip of Watermelon cardstock and a Mocha cardstock background for the sentiments.
Next up is a card that I had a lot of fun making AND got the massive honor of my 16 year old son saying “nice card mom”!!! LOL!! The You Are Loved Stamp & Stencil Combo is such a fun set and so easy to work with. When I got started with this card I knew I wanted to use a rainbow to stencil the letters so I grabbed Cherry Pop, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Dill Pickle, Snow Cone and Jelly Donut and got to work.

To make the shaker I die cut a frame from Frame in Frame 3 Cutting Plate, glued acetate to the back and propped it up on 1/8″ foam tape. The filling is a rainbow of Tiny Diamonds and Snow Flurries stencils. To finish up I added a few hearts from Little Bits – Wonky Hearts in the same colors as the stencil.
Lastly I have two cards for you with the same layout but very different color schemes. When I started these I just pulled out the laminator and started laminating all the things, lol. I ended up with some rainbow foiled butterflies from Foil It – Beautiful Butterflies and some aqua butterflies foiled on acetate! (These acetate foil-its are amazing!) For a different look on the middle rainbow butterfly I used the left over foil from a butterfly to create another butterfly. To do this I adhered a Sticky Sheet to a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and then adhered the foil waste to the Sticky Sheet. To make sure it’s fully adhered I ran the cardstock with a shim through my die cut machine. Then die cut with the coordinating butterfly die.
After foiling I got to work with stencils to create the backgrounds. For the rainbow card I used the Mini Slim On The Dot stencil. For the first pass of the stencil I fully inked the blender brushes. On the second pass I shifted the stencil to the left and went back over it without adding ink to the blender brushes for a softer look.
Lastly, on the teal card I stenciled the Mini Slim Trellis stencil with Confetti Cake ink on Salt Water Taffy cardstock. The top and bottom butterflies are stamped with the Beautiful Butterfly Wings stamp set and then inked with Cookie Monster, Kiwi and Banana Cream Pie ink. The middle butterfly has a layer of foiled acetate on top that coordinates with the set. The sentiments are from Mini Strips – Fluttering By.
