Taylored Expressions: Share Joy Campaign
The Share Joy Campaign is an invitation to celebrate the joy of card making and to share that joy with others. The gift of a handmade card can bring a smile to anyone’s face, and we want to bring as many smiles as we can to the faces of people around the world! Please join us in creating and sending handmade cards that will make a difference in the lives of others.
I am so so excited about this card drive initiative at Taylored Expressions. I LOVE making cards, the creative outlet is something I can’t live without but I think what I enjoy most is how much others enjoy getting a little something that someone took the time to craft by hand. I also always tend to have an abundance of cards that I don’t always have a specific recipient for so this campaign is a perfect way to get those out to people who could really use a little pick me up! For their initial Share Joy card drive Taylor and Jon have selected hospital chaplains as their first recipients. Guidelines for Card Donations:
- A2 cards only (blank inside), no envelopes necessary
- Themes: General & Spiritual Encouragement, Praying for You, Sympathy, Congratulations at Birth. Please do not send Get Well cards. Do not write inside the cards, stamped sentiments are acceptable. You are welcome to sign the back of your card donations.
- TE stamps are NOT required to donate to Share Joy. Cards created with TE stamps/dies will be eligible for a special feature (more detail on the TE Share Joy page).
- Deadline: All cards must be received by Friday, August 16th.

For my card I made a clean and simple layout using Happy Heart along with the Sunny Days sun die. The paper I used is from Echo Park All About a Boy. The banner is die cut using Banner Stacklets 1. To pop the elements up and create a bit of dimension I used foam tape. And for the last little bit of embellishing I used Kaisercraft Rhinestones in yellow.
I wanted my card to be good for boys or girls and to hopefully put a smile on someones face. I’m so happy with how the clean and simple layout turned out. 🙂
