Taylored Expressions Share Joy Campaign: Sketch Challenge!
The Taylored Expressions 5th Birthday Bash is continuing this week with a new Share Joy Campaign, benefiting the Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles, Prodigal’s Home of Phoenix, and Iowa Homeless Youth Shelter of Des Moines. These wonderful charities work tirelessly to bring comfort and care to many homeless individuals and families throughout the year. One way they are sharing joy each and every day is by celebrating the birthdays of their participants, and you can help by sending in your handmade birthday cards!
This week, Taylored Expressions will help you to create with a different Birthday Inspiration Challenge each day. These charities need birthday cards of all kinds: child, adult, baby, so send in your funny, sweet, pretty, elegant, works of art and know that you will be brightening someone’s day in a way only a handmade card can do. To get all the details on how to participate, please hop over to the Taylored Expressions Blog.
Today challenge is a sketch challenge (designed by me! yay!) so you know I had to participate! Here’s a peek at the sketch:
And here’s my take on the sketch:
I used the September Key Ingredients Kit along with a bit of kraft cardstock because kraft goes with EVERYTHING, right?!? I reduced the size of the sketch a bit and centered it in the middle of my card. 🙂
I LOVE that gradient paper from the We R Chalkboard paper so I had to make that front and center and I can’t resist a bit of chevron paper either so I had to include that as well. The main sentiment is from the brand new and I have to say – very useful – Big Bold Birthday stamp set and is die cut using Label Stacklets 6 (another FAVE!) To finish off I added a few Prima flowers with Mini Leaves (that have been hanging around in my stash a while so I’m not sure what the names are) and a bit of distressing – done! This was SO fast to make, I know all the layers make it look complex but it took only 30 minutes to whip up which is SUPER fast for me!
We would LOVE to have you join us so be sure to head over to Taylor’s blog to find out all the details about HOW YOU can help SHARE JOY!
