Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peek: Shades of Thanks and Lifetime of Love
It’s time for another sneak peek at the new Taylored Expressions May release! Today I have two projects to share with you. One features a brand new die set called Shades of Thanks and the other features a fun new stamp set called Lifetime of Love. Both are so fun and I just know you are going to love them!
My first card up top features Shades of Thanks. This fun die set includes two dies – the tree and the wonderful thanks sentiment die. I LOVE this set. For mine I die cut the tree out of Choice Snow White cardstock and then colored the die cut piece with Copic Markers. I sponged a background using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a bit of Olive Grove and Pistachio Dew Memento ink. I masked off the grass using the Small Scalloped Border Die. I distressed the background and sponged it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added a bit of twine thread over the Band It Die cut at the bottom and layered the thanks sentiment over the top. To finish up I added to tiny roses for a fun accent.
Next up is what just might be my favorite stamp from the release… Lifetime of Love. I stamped the image from the set on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored it with the N family of gray Copic Markers. I used N0 thru N9, 110 and 0. I was hoping the picture would come out looking like a classic black and white photo – hopefully it worked! From there I kept the layout simple so the image would be front and center. I embossed the middle background panel using the Lots of Dots Impression plate and then created little flower bouquets at the corners of the photos white I layered on cut out from the Curly Swirlies die (another FABULOUS die coming out this month!) To dress it up I added just a bit of ribbon, rhinestones and a doily under the image and it was done. 🙂
