TE August Sneak Peeks: Happy Haunting!

Happy Haunting by Jen Shults

It’s day two of Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks and today I have two fun Halloween cards for you. 🙂 All of the goodies shared this week will be available Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 7 am PST!!

My first card uses the new Ghost Town Border die. This die makes it easy to create a super quick card. I started my card with a Sugar Cube cardbase and then cut a 4.25″x5.5″ piece of Sugar Cube and sponged it with Potato Chip, Candy Corn, Plum Punch and Blue Corn TE Ink to create a full moon night sky. This was die cut with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets.

Next I die cut the border from Oreo leaving enough room below the town to stamp the sentiment. I lined the windows and doors with Potato Chip and Earl Grey cardstock. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

To finish up I used my Crop-a-dile to punch two holes to the left of the sentiment. I wrapped burlap twine through the holes and tied it off with a little bow.

My second card features new goodies in the Sitting Pretty line: Sitting Pretty – Halloween. These dies are sized to fit perfectly with the Sitting Pretty shelf and frame dies. I started my card with an Oreo cardbase and then embossed a Plum Punch piece of cardstock with the Damask Embossing Folder. I then used a Clarity Stencil Brush to add a bit of Plum Punch ink to the embossing to give it an old wall paper look. I covered the bottom half of this with patterned paper from the 6×6 Paper Pack – Playful Patterns Halloween. I added a strip of Oreo at the top for a “chair rail”.

I used element from Sitting Pretty, Sitting Pretty Accessories and Sitting Pretty Halloween to create the shelf and wall decorations. The mirror was made using Little Bits – Ornate Frame and silver foil cardstock. The broom is from Little Bits – Broom.

I added the web die cut from vellum over the chair rail along with a little spider and witches boots from Sitting Pretty – Halloween. On the inside of my card I lined it with Sugar Cube and stamped a sentiment from Simply Stamped – Pumpkins.
