TE August Sneak Peeks – Skulls, Witches and Happy Faces!

Hello by Jen Shults, handmade card, sugar skulls, taylored expressions

Hi everyone! Welcome to day one of Taylored Expressions August release sneak peeks! Today we have a TON of super cute products to share with you! Everything we share this week will be available from the Taylored Expressions store on Thursday August 3, 2017.

My first card features a two fun new stamps that I am so excited about. One is the Sugar Skulls stamp set and the other is the Happy Flowers background stamp. I started my card with a Sugar Cube cardbase. I think used Black Soot Oxide Ink to cover an A2 sized piece of Smooth Bristol Cardstock. I heat set this and then stamped it with the Happy Flowers Background Stamp sprayed lightly with water.

I stamped one of the Sugar Skulls on Sugar Cube cardstock and colored it with Copics and die cut it with the coordinating die. In the background I used Bloomers 2, Bloomers Greenery and Mini Bloomers to create a bright fun floral background. To finish I added a few hearts from Little Bits Love Confetti and three cuts of the Hello Script die stacked together.

My second card uses and adorable new die set called Build an Emoji along with You Make Me Smile to create this quick fun card. I started by sponging Cookie Monster ink on Sugar Cube cardstock fading as I reached the top. I then die cut that piece with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I die cut another rectangle from Sugar Cube and cut it a second time with Build a Scene Rolling Hills to create the wavy separator for the sentiment.

I used Lemon Meringue, Earl Grey, Watermelon, Sugar Cube and Oreo cardstock for the Emojis and stamped a sentiment from You Make Me Smile on the Sugar Cube cardstock. I attached the Emojis with foam tape and done!

My last card of the day features an adorable new addition to the Peek-a-Boo stamp collection: Peek-a-Boo Halloween. I used the witch from the fun stamp set to create a quick and easy shaker card.

After coloring the little witch with Copics I sponged a background piece of Sugar Cube with Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue and Granny Smith ink. Once this was dry I die cut Peek-a-Boo Circles from the background and create a shaker behind the circles. I attached the little witch in front and finished the card off with little spider webs cut using Little Bits Spider & Spider Web.
