TE Calendar Challenge – October

Calendar Challenge badgeHi all. It’s time for the Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge. You can get all the details in this post on Taylor’s blog.

Today I’m sharing my October 2013 calendar with you. I LOVE how this came out. This was a super fun one to make with all the new wonderful Halloween Dies and fonts Taylor has for us!

I started out by stamping one of the witch feet stamps from Fa-BOO-Lous onto Choice Watercolor Paper using Stazon Black Ink. I didn’t emboss it this time so it’s a bit looser in painting style.

Next I fussy cut out the stamp and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Behind the stamp is the Spiders and Spiderwebs die cut from Prismatic Black paper. I embossed the background designer paper with the Spook Impression Plate. I added a bit of green twill ribbon and burlap twine thread. The sentiment BOO is die cut using the Poster Graphic Alpha (LOVE LOVE LOVE this die set!!!). I added the spiders from the Spiders and Spiderweb die to the corner of the image and the bottom right corner of the calendar and added a bit of Glossy Accents to them to help them stand out a bit.

The calendar frame is the Frame Your Imagination Stand from Taylored Expressions. They also offer plastic sleeves to protect the calendar but I chose to make my free hanging using Jumbo Eyelets.
