TE December Sneak Peeks: Filled With Love
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday! Today is the start of Taylored Expressions December sneak peeks!! We will be sneak peeking new products Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and new products will be available on Thursday!
I have three projects to share with you today. I know Christmas is just around the corner and soon it will be time to start thinking Valentine’s day and if you’re like me that’s a holiday you need to get a head start on. My first project is a quick Valentine’s day card using two new stamps – Brushstroke Valentine and Brushed Hearts Background.
I started my card by stamping the Brushed Hearts Background stamp onto Sugar Cube cardstock. I inked up the stamp with Lollipop ink across the top and bottom and Strawberry Milkshake ink in the middle. I cut the background out using Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and matted it with Poppy Seed cardstock and attached it to a Lollipop cardbase using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on Vellum with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder. I die cut the sentiment with Stitched Oval Stacklets. To pop this up on foam tape I cut very tiny pieces to fit behind the vertical lines in the letters of the sentiment. To finish off the card I added to hearts cut with Heart Stacklets from Lollipop and Strawberry Milkshake cardstock.
Card Supplies:
My second card uses a new and old stamp set combined to make a fun Valentine. I used the previously released Mason Jar and Mason Jar die along with the brand new Filled with Love Stamp & Die Combo.
To start my card I stamped out Filled with Love using Sprinkles, Potato Chip, Mint Julep, Strawberry Milkshake and Lavender Glaze TE Dye Inks and die cut them with the coordinating die. I set those aside and stamped the Mason Jar and lid on Sugar Cube cardstock. I die cut these using the coordinating die, cutting out the center of the mason jar to make it a shaker. I attached a piece of clear plastic sheet to the back of the mason jar die cut and colored the lid and a bit of the jar with Copic Markers. I used an Xacto knife to cut a slit in the mouth of the mason jar to tuck the hearts underneath so they appear to be falling out. Next I die cut Frame In Frame 2 Cutting Plate from Strawberry Milkshake and Sugar Cube cardstock reserving the center Sugar Cube piece to make the rest of the shaker. After sponging the center with Sprinkles and Earl Grey ink I lined up the mason jar where I wanted it to fit and lightly marked the cardstock with pencil to align the die to cut the hole. I attached foam tape to the back, filled it with the conversation hearts and attached another sponged piece of Sugar Cube cardstock to the back of the shaker. I added the finished mason jar to the front and adhered the hearts that are spilling out. To finish I added the lid tied with twine and a heart embossed in white with the sentiment.

My last cards is one of my favorites from this month’s sneak peeks. I just LOVE this Floating Hearts cutting plate and the new colors of TE ink (Potato Chip, Sprinkles, Mint Julep and Lavender Glaze) so I knew I needed to use them together!
My card started out with an A2 sized piece of Sugar Cube that I sponged with Lavender Glaze, Strawberry Milkshake, Potato Chip, Mint Julep and Sprinkles ink. I die cut this with the Floating Hearts Cutting Plate, keeping all of the pieces. I carefully used the negative of the die cut to help me adhere the hearts to a Sugar Cube cardbase, the larger hearts are on foam tape and the smaller hearts are adhered with liquid adhesive to the cardbase. I wanted to keep this simple so the background could be the star so I added a medium circle of vellum cut with Stitched Circle Stacklets. I stamped You’re so from How Sweet It Is in Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered these to the background with carefully cut foam tape and added a row of Lily White Doodlebug Sprinkles.
