Whew! After some massive technical difficulties yesterday with my blog I am able to post again and have my Christmas goodies from Taylored Expressions to share with you. The down side of hosting your own blog is you also have to be your own IT person and I was out of my depth yesterday but thankfully my husband is a very skilled at this sort of thing!
Alright so lets take a look at these amazing products from TE. First up I have a card using the Scattered Holiday Blooms bundle. This bundle contains the Scattered Holiday Blooms Layering Stencil, Scattered Holiday Blooms Cutting Plate die and the Folk Joy Die set. I used all of these on my card along with the matching Foil It. This was a really quick card make! I foiled the Foil It panel with Champagne ink and then blended Fruit Punch, Cherry Pop (these are my favorite combo for holiday red), Lime Zest, and Peapod. After inking I die cut with the cutting plate (I tried to keep everything in it’s place after removing from the die cut machine.) I then ink blended the edges of a piece of Blue Raspberry cardstock with Blue Raspberry and Poblano Pepper ink. This added a subtle blend to the edges.
I carefully placed the cut pieces on the background using the negative from the cutting plate to help me keep them in place. The sentiment is the Folk Joy Die cut from Sugar Cube, mounted on Blue Raspberry cardstock and matted with Poblano Pepper cardstock.
My second project features the Christmas Time in the City Bundle and this set is SO ADORABLE. The new Around Town Stencil is SO FUN and I’ve got my fingers crossed that we’ll have more goodies to go with this fun road map stencil in the future! This is such a fun set and I had a TON of fun inking up all these little images and then putting them together. The combinations are endless! I chose to make the grass green instead of snowy because where I’m at in Missouri it’s rarely snowy at Christmas, we get most of our snow in January and February!
My third card uses the Home for the Holidays Bundle and I ADORE this bundle!!! I decided to go with a bright set of Christmas colors using Lime Zest, Fruit Punch (I love this almost red color!), Blue Raspberry, Lemon Meringue and Salt Water Taffy for the snow. I inked up one of the Foil It’s that coordinate with this set and kept it very mailable by only popping up my sentiment with foam tape.
My last card and my absolute favorite uses the free with $100 and $200 purchase products – and they are so adorable!!! The Ho Ho Holiday’s Layering stencil features this tall and skinny Santa that is perfect for a mini slim card AND it features a tall and skinny sleigh with a huge pile of presents. I had so much fun inking this up. I used Fruit Punch and Cherry pop for the reds, Salt Water Taffy for the white trim, Poppy Seed for the black, Pineapple for the gold buckle and Peaches and Cream for his face. After die cutting I layered him over a panel embossed with the Sketched Plaid Embossing Folder and paired with a sentiment from Santa Stop Here.
