TE | Hey There

Good morning! Today I have a project to share with you used in Taylored Expressions – Easy Strips. I LOVE this product. I use it ALL THE TIME. And great news, today we are introducing some new goodies to go with the Easy Strip line and Easy Strip products will be on sale through August 19 or while supplies last (see full details below).

Here’s how to make the card featured above (you can make 2 cards with the strips you will cut):

1. Create an A2 top folding or side folding card base using Sugar Cube cardstock.
2. Using the Easy Strips 1/2″ die cut Peaches ‘n Cream, Tiki Mule, Royal Icing, Honeydew Melon and Raspberry Sorbet cardstock.
3. Using the Easy Strips 1/8″ die cut Poppy Seed cardstock.
4. Foil the Foil It – Playful Patterns for Easy Strips with TE Fun Foil – Gold Stars & Sparkle. *Tip – if you have a mini Minc this maybe too long for the carrier sheet and shim BUT you can get the 8.5″ x 11″ shim and cut it in to 6″ wide and 11″ long and use parchment paper as a carrier sheet (this is what I did as I don’t have the larger Minc).
5. Die cut the foiled patterned strips with Easy Strips 1/4″.
6. Using Mega Messages – Hey There die cut Sugar Cube with the letters and vellum with the backer. Glue the words onto the backer.
7. Using Stitched Circle Stacklets cut a piece of Royal Icing cardstock with a circle that fits behind the letters in Hey There but leaves a little of the letters hanging off. Attach Hey There to the circle with small pieces of foam tape hidden behind the letters.
8. On a piece of A2 cardstock glue the strips down in the color order shown. (You could use a Sticky Sheet to cover the A2 panel – I used liquid glue because I’m clumsy.) Die cut with the 3rd largest A2 Layer Stacklet.
9. Using Mini Slim Layer Stacklets cut a piece of Honeydew Melon and Poppy Seed cardstock into strips (roughly the size shown).
10. To assemble, layer the Honeydew Melon and Poppy Seed panel together, slightly offset and glue to the striped panel with foam tape, trim off excess. Adhere striped panel to the cardbase with foam tape. Adhere the sentiment circle to the card, centering on the vertical strips. Add enamel dots.

If desired you can make a second card using the left over strips.
