TE March Release Day: This IS my happy face!
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day so far today! It’s finally here! It’s March release day for Taylored Expressions! We have LOADS of new goodies for you and you can find them all here.
I have two projects to share with you today using two of my favorite products from this month’s release – Grumpy Grumplings 2 and Matchy Matchy!
This first project uses almost all of the fun little Grumplings from Grouchy Grumplings too – I love their little expressions and the fun sentiments that come with them. I teach middle school so all of these faces happen for me pretty much daily – along with lots of smiles too – but these are definitely part of every day for me! >.<
This card was very easy to set up. I started by stamping all of the Grumplings on Sugar Cube with Oreo ink and coloring them with Copics. Then I die cut them with the coordinating dies and set them aside. I grabbed my Mini Color Block Cutting Plate die and cut out the main frame from Sugar Cube. I grabbed another piece of Sugar Cube and cut it to fit behind the frame and sponged it with Sprinkles and Salt Water Taffy Ink letting it fade out near the top. To finish I just layered in the Grumplings at different angles behind the frames and decided the main panel needed a bit more interest so I used Copics to add a little ground.

My second project uses the adorable Matchy Matchy stamp set for a card design. This set makes is very easy to create an inside and outside design for a card.
I started this card by stamping the cute little bird on Sugar Cube with Oreo ink and coloring with Copics. I die cut the bird and banner with the coordinating dies. Next I die cut a circle from Sugar Cube using Stitched Circle Stacklets and sponged the edges with Granny Smith and Salt Water Taffy. I layered this with a banner die cut from Stitched Banner Stacklets and a strip of rainbow paper from 6×6 Paper Pack – Rainbow Brights. I adhered this to a Toffee panel embossed with the Subway Tiles Embossing Folder and added a few Cherry Pop Enamel Shapes.
On the inside I very lightly sponged a bit of Granny Smith and Salt Water Taffy Ink and attached the little squirrel with a sign that says “It’s Your Birthday”

That’s it for me today! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!
