TE Masking Stencils: May Your Season Sparkle
Hi everyone! Today I have another project to share using Taylored Expressions new Masking Stencils. Today I’m using the Masking Stencils – Square stencil to make a quick Christmas card. For this card I adhered the mask down first to a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock. In the opening in brushed on a light gradient of Sprinkles ink to the opening fading up as I went so the ink faded out before the top edge.
Next I adhered the Winter’s Beauty stencil to the top with Pixie Spray. I blended a light layer of Cookie Monster ink then Plum Punch ink over the snow flake so it blends from purple to blue. While the stencil was still attached I colored over the snowflake with the NUVO Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen in white for some added sparkle. ***Tip: Lightly heat set your ink layers between the background blue and the snowflake layer to keep the snowflake edges crisp.
To finish off the card I added three of the Simple Strips – Holiday sentiments and a few Snow Flurries Sequins. I popped the whole thing up on a Sugar Cube cardbase and done!
