Hi everyone! Today is day 3 of Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peeks! Today I have two projects to share with you!
My first project uses some new TE Little Bits! Little Bits – Tools. I paired these up with the Matchbox dies and Matchbox – Suitcase dies to make a little mini toolbox.
To make this toolbox I die cut two of the Matchbox’s from Watermelon cardstock and adhered them together, one sitting on top of the other.
I used the Matchbox suitcase dies to create the toolbox handle and the stripes on the front of the toolbox to look like drawers. I used Oreo and Silver Metallic Cardstock layered together to create the look of the drawers. On the inside of the drawers I lined the bottom with Oreo cardstock to mimic the black mats in the toolbox drawers. In the top drawer I adhered a variety of cuts of tools. In the bottom drawer I stamped Best Dad I Ever Saw from Punny Man and embossed it in silver embossing powder. I adhered the saw from Little Bits Tools under the sentiment.
My husband loves these little Matchboxes and he thought this one was amazing! 🙂
Supplies:
For my second card I’m using a new addition to the Build a Scene line – Build a Scene Grassy Hills. These are so fun and give a nice bit of texture to layered scenes. I started with a Blue Corn cardbase and sponged a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock with the ground and the sky. I layered this with three cuts of Build a Scene Grassy Hills in Granny Smith and Peapod. I die cut the cut new Little Bits – Hole in One dies to make the golf course.
The clouds were die cut from Sugar Cube using the Build a Scene – Rolling Clouds dies and the sentiment was stamped on Watermelon cardstock and embossed in white then die cut with Banner Stacklets 4.

Jen, I have to tell you that I absolutely adore your little toolbox. That’s brilliant! My husband has a large red toolbox and this would be perfect for his father’s day card. Thank you so much for the great idea and the inspiration! You’re amazing!
This is the cutest idea I’ve seen in ages, and what a great idea for a great dad to celebrate his special day! I love the little tools inside, but you could also tuck some green in there 🙂 Love!!
Oops! I forgot to mention how cute the golf card was too – the toolbox just captured me completely 🙂
Jen, your little tool box is so cute. Love the golf card, too.
