There are new colors dropping this week at Taylored Expressions and they are FANTASTIC! These are the colors I didn’t know I needed – they are so gorgeous.
Orange is secretly one of my favorite colors and these are STUNNING. I made a card using both Papaya and Persimmon together with Tropical Punch, Blue Corn, Oat Milk and Banana Cream Pie (ink). I’ve been pushing myself out of my comfort zone to use colors in unexpected places so I used the Tropical Punch and Blue Corn as the foliage on my card. Sadly the Banana Cream Pie cardstock is no longer made BUT you can make your own! I took the large ink pad and swiped it on Sugar Cube cardstock until it was a solid area of color, heat set it and then die cut and it worked perfectly! Make sure to heat set so the cardstock doesn’t tear when tacking your dies down for the die cut machine.
To give the flowers and stems a little kick I added a little tone on tone ink to each for dimension. For the Banana Cream Pie I used Pineapple ink to accent since I’d already used the ink. The centers of the flowers are Cinnamon and Honey. For the background I embossed a piece of Oat Milk cardstock with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (FAVE!!!). The sentiment is from Mini Strips – Floral die cut with Mini Strips Asymmetrical die.
