TE October Studio Challenge

Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge

It’s time for another Taylored Expressions Baker’s Dozen Studio Challenge! This week our theme is super fun and very timely! Here it is:

Good things come in small packages!  The holiday season is upon us and between Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukah, and Christmas there are a ton of opportunities to create and give little treats, gifts, and party favors.  Please show us something you’ll be giving this year.

Well! For a while now I’ve been wanting to make special Halloween treats for my two kiddos and nieces so I used this theme as an opportunity to get that project underway. I still have a few more to make but the first four are done! Not to mention they were super fun and easy to make.

Halloween Treat Bags

To make my treat bags I started with the Stacklets Labels 1 die from TE an used the biggest one as the base of my bag topper. These Stacklets were the PERFECT size for this and made for a quick and easy layout. I cut eight of these out of black cardstock. Then I used Authentique’s Enchanted designer paper and the next size of Stacklet to make the designer paper layer. I used one of my favorite Halloween stamp sets… Trick or Sweet to stamp the little cuppie trick or treaters and the sentiments. I used Choice Watercolor Paper and Distress Markers to color the cute little cuppies. I used the Spiders and Spiderwebs die as an accent… because I LOVE it so so much! I added a bit of gunmetal Stickles to the spiders to give them a bit of definition. I assembled it all and added a little Burlap Twine bow. The toppers are attached too the bags with staples and glue.
