Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is well. Today Taylored Expressions is releasing their new patriotic products and I have two projects to share with you! The first projects feature the new Firecracker Shaker die. This is SO cute and can be used in a couple of ways. To make this card follow the directions below:
Cut an A2 cardbase from Toffee cardstock.
Die cut the Firecracker Shaker elements from Sugar Cube cardkstock with the exception of the stick from Toffee and the star and triangle backer from glitter cardstock. Die cut the shaker backing again from acetate.
Using Watermelon ink and TE Mini Blender Brushes, blend the firecracker striped element from the outsides in (add a little Cherry Pop on the edges for more depth). Using Blueberry ink blend the top of the firecracker and using Oyster ink blend the shaker backing.
Adhere the acetate to the back of the striped element (I used liquid adhesive).
Assembly the shaker by lining the striped element with 1/8″ foam tape strips. Fill the center of the backing with shaker filling and then carefully remove the foam tape backing and adhere to the backing. Attach the firecracker top, stick, string and “flame”.
Die cut the Rainbow Bright 3 die from Sugar Cube and ink with alternating Blueberry and Watermelon ink. Adhere to the center of the Toffee cardbase.
Die cut Hang On Stars from Sugar Cube. Scatter around the background of the card. (I also used a few of the leftovers from die cutting the firecracker top).
Stamp Let Freedom Ring on Sugar Cube cardstock. Die cut with Stitched Banner Stacklets. Adhere to the back of the shaker. Adhere the shaker to the center of the card.
My second project is a slightly different take on the first one using some of TE’s new foil products. To make this card follow the directions below:
Cut an A2 cardbase from Sugar Cube cardstock.
Apply Blue Stars & Sparkle Fun Foil to the star area of the Foil It Panel and Red Stars & Sparkle Fun Foil to the stripes part of the Foil It panel.
Die cut the Firecracker Shaker from Watermelon, Sugar Cube, Blueberry, Silver foil and Toffee cardstock. Lightly ink the firecracker backer edges with Oyster ink to round the firecracker a little. Assemble the pieces.
Die cut Little Bits – Stars from Sugar Cube cardstock. Stamp Happy 4th of July on Sugar Cube and die cut with Modern Sentiment Labels.
Assemble the card with foam tape between the layers.
