TE Sneak Peeks: The Spirit of Christmas
Hi crafty friends! I hope you had a good weekend. 🙂 Today is the start of Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks and we have a TON of gorgeous Christmas and Holiday goodies to share with you this week! We will be sharing sneak peeks with you Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. All of the new products will be available Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 9 am PST.
I have three projects to share with you today. My first project features a new embossing folder: Twinkling Lights Embossing Folder and new dies for a previously released set: Deck the Halls.
I started my card by stamping the cute little reindeer on Sugar Cube cardstock using Oreo ink and coloring him with Copic Markers. After he was colored I die cut him with the coordinating dies. Wanting to keep the embossing folder subtle I embossed it to Sugar Cube cardstock and matted it with Granny Smith cardstock. I created a frame for the reindeer using the middle size Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate. I stamped the sentiment on Oreo cardstock using Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. After embossing it I die cut it with Stitched Banner Stacklets. To finish off I added a twine bow and a few Doodlebug Sprinkles in Ladybug.
Supply List:
My second card using the new super adorable If Penguins Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo. This set is so adorable and with the little hats, presents, scarves and sentiments I could be used for a TON of different occasions.
I started my card by stamping the penguin and face and stamping the scarf on Sugar Cube Cardstock using Oreo ink. I colored both of them with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating die. Next I die cut two little ovals using Stitched Oval Stacklets from Sugar Cube and Salt Water Taffy to make a little iceberg for the penguin to stand on. I stamped the sentiment on Cookie Monster cardstock using Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I stamped the Snow Day Background on Sugar Cube using Versamark and heat embossed it with Ranger holographic embossing powder then die cut it with Stitched Circle Stacklets. I cut the Fringe Border die from Sprinkles and Salt Water Taffy cardstock and trimmed them in half to layer for the fringe background. I die cut a piece of pink snowflake paper from Playful Patterns – Holiday 6×6 Paper Pack using Banner Stacklets 4 for additional background color. I added few sequins from the Hello Happiness Sequin Mix to finish the card off.

My last card today uses a fun new Grumplings set – Elf Grumplings Stamp & Die Combo. I just adore this little guy and this sentiment together. I have a co-worker that this card is PERFECT for, lol. I started by stamping the little Grumpling on Sugar Cube cardstock with Oreo ink and coloring him with Copic markers. I die cut him with the coordinating die.
I wanted to keep the rest of the layout simple so I die cut a rectangle background using Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and the sponged on Earl Grey and Salt Water Taffy ink to create a ground for the Elf. I stamped the sentiment on Cherry Pop cardstock using Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then used Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and the Let’s Talk Edger 1 die to create the talk bubble. I matted the whole scene with Granny Smith cardstock then again with Sugar Cube and layered it on a Playful Patterns – Holiday 6×6 Paper Pack background.
On the inside I used Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and Holiday Florals to create a gift card holder. I layered the two stacklet die cuts and stamped the sentiment in Cherry Pop. When I attached the rectangle I used tape adhesive around the two sides and bottoms but left the top open so I could slide the gift card in.
