This week is all about fun Valentine treats at Taylored Expressions. I loved making Valentine’s for my children’s classes and friends when they were smaller and the new products from TE are perfect to help out with this!
My first project is a basket of berry treat boxes that are SO EASY to put together and fun to embellish if you want to make them pop! To start the berry treat boxes I stenciled the Mini Slim Wonky Dots stencil on Watercolor cardstock with Poppy Seed ink. You can cut one strawberry from one fully inked stenciled cardstock. I made 6 of these. Then I did cut the leaves from Peapod cardstock and added a little ink blending with Cilantro ink and the Detail Blender Brushes from TE. These weren’t complete without white gel pen so I added just a little gel pen on the leaves. To tie them up I cut some burlap twine and threaded the twine through the strawberry and leaves. The sentiments are from The Berry Best clear stamp set and cut with Itty Bitty Tags 2. The berries will hold 2-3 Dove Chocolates or 2 Hershey’s Nuggets.
My second project uses the new I’m a Sucker For You dies that make adorable flowers out of any sucker and make it SO EASY to create an adorable flower bouquet for your favorite Valentine. I made two layer flowers but you could easily simplify and make one layer flowers. I also added a little ink blending to the center of the petals for added dimension.
