TE’s New Quad Color Ink and Cardstock Packs
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well with all that is going on. It’s been weighing heavily on me lately as everything is in such a state of flux and I’m finding I’ve become a bit of a control freak as I’ve gotten older. But I’m doing my best to keep my chin up, stay on routine and get some exercise! Hopefully this post of some fun new TE offerings that will help speed up card making!
Taylored Expressions is offering new ink and paper Quad colors. These color packs help get the color planning part of card making out of the way so you can get creative faster. Each pack has 4 coordinating colors of ink mini cubes and 2 sheets of each color of coordinating cardstock (8 sheets total).
Quad Color: Carnival
I have three cards to share today using three of the different Quad Colors. First up is a card using Carnival.
As soon as I saw the Carnival Quad Color set I knew I wanted to try ink blending these. I had originally planned to place them in rainbow order but I managed to get out of order quickly. As it happens Watermelon and Granny Smith blend fairly well if you use a light hand and I really like how this turned out!
After ink blending, I heat set the cardstock so I could stamp and emboss the Sweet Sprinkles Background. Be sure to use a powder tool thoroughly in addition to heat setting to make sure the background is fully dry before embossing.
Next, I trimmed a 1/2″ strip from the side and saved this piece for the inside. I die cut Framed Script – Hello 3 times from Oreo cardstock, glued them together with liquid adhesive and backed them with vellum. I added “I miss your face” from Simple Strips – Friendship stamped on Oreo cardstock and embossed in white. I attached everything to a Sugar Cube cardbase in a clean and simple layout. I attached the left over 1/2″ strip to the inside of the card.

Quad Color: Tuscany
The second Quad Color set I used this week was Tuscany. I started my card by stamping and die cutting a variety of flowers and leaves from Spring Florals using all of the colors from the Tuscany Quad Color set. To make the background I blending Pineapple out from the lower right corner using a Blender Brush and then overlayed the Here Comes the Sun stencil and blended another layer of Pineapple. I heat set this lightly. Next I arranged all of the flowers and used a piece of Press N Seal wrap to move them out of the way so I could stamp the sentiment in the empty space. I added adhesive to the back of the flowers (still attached to the Press N Seal) and moved them back into place. I used foam tape to attach the smaller flowers. I added a small twine bow and a few NUVO Crystal Drops for dimension.

Quad Color: Dublin
My last card uses the new Dublin Quad Color which is PERFECT for masculine cards. This card was so quick and easy to put together.
To start this card I stenciled an A2 piece of Sugar Cube cardstock with the Double Diamond Stencil and Peapod, Lime Zest and Sprinkles inks blending the colors gently together (they blend effortlessly so it was quick). After ink blending, I trimmed the panel at an angle and attached it to a Blue Corn cardbase. I die cut Caps Lock – YAY from Sugar Cube and attached it to the card using the negative as a guide. I stamped Simple Strips – Birthday on Sprinkles cardstock with Blue Corn ink and die cut the strips, attaching one over the word YAY. I added some cream baker’s twine to the bottom of the card and it’s done!
